Beautiful ambient drone session in the middle of the Lavours National Nature Reserve (Rhône-Alpes, France). Everything seemed motionless and frozen; only the songs of a few birds occasionally pierced the deafening silence. 🐦‍⬛
These privileged moments with nature are an incredible source of solace for me. Focusing on crafting a patch with a modular synthesizer while attentively listening to nature through the precision of the Tascam Portacapture X-8’s microphones offers a quasi-meditative dimension. 🧘‍♂️

It reminds me of the crucial importance of preserving our biodiversity, which has declined in recent decades due to human activity. 📉

In 2019, the IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services), equivalent to the IPCC for biodiversity, painted a very grim picture of the situation. A million species faced extinction, 75% of the Earth’s surface was damaged by human activities, 85% of wetlands disappeared, and insect populations rapidly declined. The causes of this crisis are multiple but all linked to human activities. 🌍
